LENT 2025
From Ashes to Alleluia: An Honest Journey Toward Hope is the theme I have created to use for our Lenten journey this year. It is my hope that this theme embraces the authenticity we can discover in the Lenten season. Such authenticity acknowledges the real struggles and pain of life while holding fast to the hope of resurrection.
The season of Lent is particularly hard because it asks us to focus on the tension between lament and joy. It makes us honestly look at ourselves and bring our true selves before God. And in doing so we are reminded of our need for the forgiveness that only God can provide.
My hope is in this theme and journey we will embrace the struggle of the season while also living with the hope that can only come from the grace of God.
Please know that throughout the journey you are in my thoughts and prayers.
